"THANK YOU, DAD" Dorothy M. Davis, daughter of Griff Davis, humbly accepted the TBBCA 2020 Lifetime Achievement Impact Award on behalf of her late father. "It's so meaningful to me and to my family and to others whose stories have not been told. ...I've grown to understand that he was more than just an observer of life. He was a communicator across borders, across mindsets, across so many barriers. I think that his messaging also helps us reflect on the rich heritage that we all have."
Ms. Davis added: "In this day and age when many things seem like they're going backwards, I think we can learn from the steadfastness of his commitment, to truth, to representing diversity, to being open to new experiences in order to grow as a person... Thank you so much, for allowing his story to tell other stories, to help give hope, and try new things and create new paths for new solutions."
